Happy National ‘Unsubscribe Me’ Week to those celebrating!

This repo shared in @jthingelstad’s newsletter made me 😮

Something I’ve been enjoying lately is mixing music via the DJ-app (and occasionally via a MIDI-controller) on beatport. It’s surprisingly easy to learn how to do it well and it’s a really fun challenge to find music that you can fit together perfect, like a puzzle. I won’t be headlining a festival anytime soon but damn if it isn’t super fun. beatport evens offers a really generous free trial period if you want to give it a go.

Announcing the seed funding round for my new startup: OriginIQ. OriginIQ’s core offering allows employers to know how much of an employee’s work has been completed, in whole or in-part, by AI. Using a multitude of factors, we believe OriginIQ can identify AI completed work 98% of the time. eric.cohn at gmail to discuss.

I love blinkist and use it constantly but it kind of seems sort of unnecessary in the AI age, no?

Like Half Priced Books but find it too affordable?

So stupid. I must have it.

Is there a commonly used term yet for when one AI agent “speaks” to another AI agent doing work for a IRL human without any human intervention?

What an insane story. Who in their right mind would’ve actually thought this would work?

My kids have been watching the original Full House episodes. They’re now respndingsaying things like “How Rude!” and “Cut…It….Out” and honestly, I’m into it.

Two weeks of crazy travel behind me - back into it this week!

I’m angry by how much I know this is true

The return line for Amazon at Kohl’s is 5x longer than their store checkout. Weird move to enable and hasten your company’s own insignificance. Seems like an unsustainable business model.

Texas!

Showing my kids some Schoolhouse Rock in advance of a trip to Boston. I’m happy to report I still know the Preamble to the Constitution by heart…..which I learned from Schoolhouse Rock.

When the day comes for @TheDailyShow to go off the air (or maybe even now) they should upload their petabytes of tv and make it free to use for fair-use and reporting. Can you imagine how much it would enable the next generation of reporters, digital archivists, documentarians, satirists, etc?
