New job, who dis?

First week at the new job is now done 🙏

For those just tuning in, I work in tech and unfortunately got caught up in a “reduction in force” and was laid (lain?) off. I take some solace in the fact it had nothing to do with me but unfortunately this job market is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced before - it was dreadful.

Tell your friends and family to hold on to your jobs tightly right now. Things only look to be getting worse IMO.
